Saturday, 28th January, 2012 - Newbiggin by the Sea Genealogy Project
Do you have a family history which has been linked to Newbiggin over several generations? If so, you may be interested in this exciting new project.
666 people were listed as living in Newbiggin on the 1841 census, Hilton Dawson, who has links to well over 100 of them, is interested in seeing how many families in Newbiggin can be linked together through a community genealogy project. He would like to meet any residents, past or present, who would be interested in helping to develop this venture.
FAmily Storytelling - From 30th January
The week commencing 30th January is National Storytelling week and the Newbiggin Maritime Centre will be holding family storytelling sessions.
